1942	Constituted 6 October in the Army of the United States as Company A, 508th Parachute Infantry; activated 20 October at Camp Blanding, FL Company lineage follows that of the 508th Infantry from 1942 through 1957 inactivation at Fort Campbell, KY
1962	Redesignated 15 July as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 508th Infantry
1964	Assigned 6 March to 82nd Airborne Division and activated 25 May at Fort Bragg, NC
1986	Inactivated 3 October at Fort Bragg, NC and relieved from assignment to the 82nd Airborne Division
1962	Reorganized and redesignated 15 July as the 508th Infantry, a parent regiment under CARS
1987	Assigned 10 July to the 193rd Infantry Brigade and activated in Panama
1994	Inactivated 15 October in Panama and relieved from assignment to the 193rd Infantry Brigade
1996	Reactivated on 27 April in Vicenza, Italy and assigned to SETAF
